Kelly Thompson is a community-based artist whose work is inspired by the people and situations around her. Thompson is deeply rooted in local as well as global culture. She is a true believer in “Art For The People”, part of an established and growing local movement of artists and galleries who are dedicated to introducing and making art available for all. Kelly actively exhibits, as well as curates shows.
As a feminist artist, women's rights and social-political issues are an ongoing theme in her work. Her paintings have been in galleries, museums, TV shows, featured films as well as in many private collections.
Kelly lives and works in Los Angeles.
